No I wash mine all the time as well. Just make sure you use gentle shampoo with conditioner, if you dont have a brush cleanser. The hair fibers will get brittle and start breaking if theyre not conditioned.

i personally find that the cleanser is mostly water and no need to rinse. Its a matter of preference really. Many like to rinse further, many dont.

What about cleaning in between uses? I usually have a clean paper towel handy while I'm doing makeup and I just put a few drops on the towel and do the back and forth thing with my brushes..especially if I have to use the same brush for a different color.

One thing that I thought worked for me was using hand sanitizer to clean my brushes.. BIG mistake... made my brushes become stiff. Thankfully the MAC cleanser brought them back to the softness.

Hi Enkore -
I have been cleaning my brushes with the Brush Cleanser (the one you provided the recipe for) as well as deep cleansing my brushes every two weeks.
Recently I noticed that some of my brushes are becoming "crunchy".. is this because of the rubbing alcohol? Also, they feel very squeaky.. like they're becoming stiff. Any ideas? thanks :)

its a matter of preference, some rinse, some dont. I find that the cleanser is mostly water, really, so I find no need to rinse futher.

sure! many do that - 2 parts cleaner with 1 part water is good.
