HybrydWarrior -- exactly my point. The Beatles were one band, and while I agree each of their songs exhibited a level of craftsmanship and quality that has stood the test of time, they were just one band. If you take the year this song was released, (1965), the vast majority of songs that year were crap. It makes this song, (and The Beatles), appear even more amazing.

the beatles were a joke dude..their early stuff was all too lovey dovey and all their fans were 12 yr old girls...the animals were a bluesy classic hard rock band at the time...deffiantly one of if not the best band to come out of the 60's british invasion besides cream

Well said. I was there.The Beatles were the girly, wimpish side of 60's music, then they started smoking the wacky stuff and worshiping Indian crazy men whilst their music degenerated into complete crap. The Stones, The Animals................ raw music that was worth listening too.

I remember those days. LOL The part of the song that resonated was the line "We gotta get outta this place if it's the last thing we ever do." Those were the days. It's hard to believe it's over 40 years ago. Time didn't move this fast back then. Did it? LOL Peace
