my aunt has breast cancer. she had to have both her breast taken off. within 6 months she got a surgery done to to take fat from her abdomen and placed where her breast use to be. about 4 months went by and no signs of return.. until last week. she got another cancer lump removed to find out that they couldnt get it all and she is going threw radiation. hopefully it kills it.

Still catching up on your videos. Thanks for posting this Steph. I have fibrocystic disease and have had breast surgery 3 times. You can bet I self exam! Also I stay away from caffiene. That helps tremendously!

My mom was dx with breastcancer @ 26 she had a double mastectomy at 30. My aunt was dx with breast cancer in Dec. She has had 2 lumpectomies, (spelling?) and its still there, I get a mammo every year, even tho I am still under the age of getting them paid through insurance, but my doctor orders first the breast MRI's and then has medical reason for a mammo, its a lot of red tape, but it must be done.
Fight to get the treatments, preventitive or not to see if you have it. <3 Lex

Also, Smokers do not heal as well or as fast as non-smokers.
Smokers can not use skin from other parts of the body to graph new skin to re-construct a new breast. My mother had breast-reconstruction, and they attempted to make a nipple out of a skin graph from the darker skin on her inner thighs, however the skin died. She had to use other forms of something, to construct the nipple, that was then tattooed darker, and TA DAA she went from a A cup, to a Modest D cup :P
